Oil & Refining - 107-Railcar Unload Facility

Sitts & Hill provided land surveying and civil engineering services including critical area permit management for this 107-Rail-car Unloading Facility located in the Port of Tacoma. The project included the crossing of a jurisdictional fish-bearing stream, requiring submittal of a JARPA permit. Sitts & Hill developed a schedule for preliminary design identifying and completing tasks necessary for an early JARPA submittal. The project was split into four packages for the contractor with scopes being permitted and constructed independently of the JARPA-dependent construction. This allowed the owner to complete portions of the overall project a year in advance of the critical milestone.
