Bradken Radiography Building - Tacoma, Washington
Sitts & Hill Engineers was hired to provide a Conceptual Engineering Report, Civil and Structural Engineering Design, Permit Assistance and Construction Support for the West Coasts largest radiography cleaning room facility at the oldest operational foundry in Tacoma. The scope of work consisted of a new building (approximately 2,000 square feet of office and 16,900 square feet of Testing/Inspection/Shop area), new parking and driving surfaces, utility work and landscape areas.
Work was scheduled to be accomplished in two phases:
Phase 1 included all site grading, main building construction, utility work, drainage facility installation, permitting and half street improvements including landscape buffer, curb, gutter and sidewalk for Alaska Street South.
Phase 2 includes an addition to the building constructed during Phase 1 and completion of construction work designed in Phase 1. On-site work was completed on 0.99 acres of the 2.22 acre property.
